What is MDF

MDF, as it commonly referred to, is “ Medium Density Fiberboard “, a kind of engineering composite wood products, manufactured by combination of wood fiber, adhesives & chemicals through conversion process from wood fiber pressing into board. It possesses greater surface & mechanical property for the benefit of machining & cuttability, as compare to conventional wood products. It is widely accepted for profiling process & laminating process into flooring base, ceiling base, wall panel & furniture base products. Daiken Sarawak Sdn.Bhd. (DSK) MDF is unique, which utilize tropical wood species fiber, that is naturally stronger fiber compare other species. This gives excellent properties acceptance among the worldwide MDF markets

Green Ecosystem

Green Ecosystem GREEN ECOSYSTEM

Preserving the green earth by recycling trees.

Grow trees, utilize it wisely, and keep using trees.
Since DAIKEN is established, we have been closely involved with trees and promote the recycling of trees through efforts including tree planting, appropriate use of trees from forests, and recycling of used products.MDF which produced by residue from sawmills are the base material made from 100% recycled sources.
In order to establish an ideal Ecosystem that everything is maintained in balance, DAIKEN keep utilize each trees effectively and pave te way to new greenery.

Wood Based Material

Special MDF is characterized by its resistance to swelling caused by water and wax. It is also environmentally friendly and contributes to the preservation of forest resources, as it is made by effectively utilizing the residue produced during lumbering.

Light material Light material

MDF is composed of wood fibers made from chips produced by industrial milling. These wooden fibers are dried and bonded with special resins under heat and pressure. During the process, wooden materials are formed into a board and become hard. For the final step, the board is machine-polished and cut to specific sizes.

WOOD TYPE

Wood Based Material MDF - Medum Density Fiberboard

WORKABILITY

Softwood type

CUSTOMWOOD, DSL MDF Product thickness2.5-35.0㎜

Softwood type
Light-colored surface suitable for a variety of surface decoration

Laminating this MDF wit translucent sheet had little effect on the decoration surface. Indirect printing masking coat process may be removed.

Smooth surface

Long wood fibers provide smooth surface suitable for lamination, coating.

Effective utilization of untapped resources and stable raw material procurement Wood

New Zealand, where our factory is located, has an abundance of systematically planted Pinus Radiata. We use the parts of the trees that are not suitable for lumbering to ensure stable procurement of raw materials.

STABILITY

Hardwood type

TEKWOOD

Hardwood type
Excellent Dimensional Stability

Little dimensional change and a low possibility of warping even under harsh environments (at high temperature and high humidity) allow wide application.

Excellent water resistance

Little swelling in water or in humid environments allows to use for window frames (sash frames), flooring baseboards, etc. that require resistance to water and moisture.

Effective utilization of untapped resources ans Stable raw material procurement

Taking advantage of our location in Malaysia, we utilize untapped sources such as residual wood pieces discharged from sawmills and plywood plants and also utilize plantation trees to stably procure raw materials.
